The intent of this blog is to, hopefully, 'enliven' and 'enlighten' my fellow 'freedom loving' mountain people of the beautiful Crowsnest, while bringing a 'fresh' perspective to the many issues and challenges facing our community, and the world we live in.

I give Ted credit, at least he had the 'good sense' not to have the Conservative Logo on the front. Or was that just an oversight? :-)
You know, in the grand scheme of things, this (the whole cheque thing) is pretty small. No-one got killed, nothing got blown up....

True. But it does show a disturbing trend of deceit and crass political opportunism on an unprecedented scale.
I personally find it distressing to see a man of Ted’s stature resorting to these cheap tricks when his riding is so overwhelmingly conservative that the party could run a dog here and it would still win. There was no need for him to do this.
On the other hand, the conservative (reform/alliance) party overall has gained an unenviable reputation for needing to resort to these types of measures to win seats. Sad but true. Thanks for your comment.
And the libs are angels

I hear ya... "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone."
However, the Liberals might not be angels but that is not who we are talking about here, nor are they the one's with the Big Target around their necks... or should I say the Big Cheques.
