Reading the article, the new Fire Chief came into a situation of adversity, and was able to resolve the issues with the Volunteers in a few months up North. No doubt our esteemed Leader fed him a line, and has been most generous with our money. As the Mayor stated in the Town Meeting, "we have the best Fire Department in Southern Alberta". If that's the case without a Fire Chief, then why do we need one in the first place?

Now, it remains to be seen if the new Chief can live up to his reputation as a great communicator, and get our volunteers on his side. It may work as long as our Mayor, Council and CAO let him do his job. If not, and the Mayor does a repeat of the TITV fiasco, he best don his fire suit and get ready to jump on the fire truck himself, and with all of his loyal subjects.
