As mentioned previously, there will be a rally today at Municipal Hall at 2 pm at which time a delegation from the Ratepayers Association will meet with the Mayor, Council and the CAO.
Those residents in the community wishing to participate in the rally outside are encouraged to do so.
Following the rally and meeting there will be a meeting of the Ratepayers Association this Thursday (Oct. 11) at 7 pm at the Miner's Club in Hillcrest. It is anticipated a petition seeking the removal of the Mayor and CAO will be brought forth to be circulated through out the community, and when completed forwarded on to Municipal Affairs.
Residents are encouraged to attend, you do not have to be a member to be there. If you want to join the cost is $5.
TODAY'S MEETING HAS BEEN CHANGED BY COUNCIL TO 3 PM AND WILL BE AT THE MDM IN BELLEVUE NOW, INSTEAD OF THE MUNICIPAL HALL AS PREVIOUSLY ARRANGED.
The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it always to be kept alive.
