Comment: Thanks go to Councillor Emile Saindon for making this picture available to me and my readers.

There is no deed in this life so impossible that you cannot do it. Your whole life should be lived as a heroic deed.

Thank you guys. Looks like an awesome group. Thanks for keeping us safe.

So how many of these guys are from the previous volunteer fireman?
How much is it costing us to pay these guys?
If there were a fire in Coleman and in Hillcrest at the same time would we have adequate coverage?

"They don't look like a happy lot"

Why is everyone so negative around here? If they were all smiling and laughing, you would say that they weren't being serious enough.

At the rate things are going in this place you are damned if you do, and damned if you don't.

Thank you to Councillor Saindon, and thank you to the Firefighters for being there for all of us, even the people who are never happy.

5:39; A great publicity stunt aimed at persons such as you, unless there is more to you than you alude to. Facts are that I count 24 firemen in that pretty shot. It is not enough to staff one full time fire department. So once again I ask, what is the agenda of this "strategic" plan? Are these full timers? Are they trained to race for one of our four fire halls and unleash whatever lies behind door #1 on the ensuing fire? Are they to stage from one central fire hall thus making all other fire halls and equipment frivolous? Are we buying a +$1m piece of equipment? It is nice damage control and I do find it a nice picture.

Thank You Firefighters for stepping forward and putting on the line, especially with all the emotions and recent controversy. We are 100% behind you!

I'm happy with our new firemen and hope they do a fantastic job and we support them the way we did our volunteers, because they deserve it. Nobody should take out on them the bad feelings of what happened to our hometown guys because it's not their fault. I'm hoping eventually they will all be back and working side by side with the new guys.

Well said Judy! That's the kind of attitude we should be seeing here. It is to be hoped that everyone will be working together for the common good. Anyone who has the care and heart and courage to be a firefighter, can stand up to the awful attitude that has been so downheartening for the past while. You go Firefighters, we appreciate you! All of you.

I agree, I have no problem with the firefighters. My problem is with council.Does anyone know how much these fireman are costing us compared to the volunteer fireman we had before? Also, do we have adequate coverage if there were 2 fires in differant locations in the CNP at the same time?

John, is that not Search and Rescue in this picture?

We owe more thanks to Emile Saindon too, for passing the blame of the failure of Rum Runners days onto all of us who didn't attend the festivities. I found it amazing how he could point the finger at us non-patronizers instead of thinking .. hey, maybe everyone will stay home because there's no TITV!!!!

We were all happy and so where our past fire fighters, so glad you all support these guys!! wait till a fire happens in Coleman or Hillcrest...sick and tired of the newbies we have a very efficient fire fighting group in the Crowsnest Pass for years!!! My stomach turns thinking of what those guys are going through bet Rescue would be in a uproar if this event happened to them!!!

We don't owe anybody on Council NOTHING!!!!
