So God Made A Farmer
The following was a Ram Trucks commercial during yesterday's Super Bowl.
This is to all the flatlanders and sodbusters out there who put food on our tables, with special consideration to our friends and neighbours in Pincher Creek... including our brothers and sisters in the Hutterite colonies. Thank you!

People might not get all they work for in this world, but they must certainly work for all they get.

Thanks for sharing a true and moving message. Our farming clients work damn hard to 'feed our cities'. Take care.
We complain about the cost of food. The farmers give their lives to feeding us. Thank you John for giving credit where credit is due.
If you ate today... THANK A FARMER.
I was travelling to Saskatchewan years back and off in the distance their was a tractor in the field. As i came closer i could see the farmer driving and his wife in a wagon that was being pulled. He had her spreading the manure by hand(smart farmer). Sorry ladies i couldnt believe my eyes and thought not too many women left in the world like that. So lets give the farmers wives some credit too. Still laughing about that today.
Hi John where has your good friend Fred Poirier been lately? It seems he rarely posts (at least under his name?) here any more and his blog has been dry since June of last year. Is he okay health-wise?
Anon @10:12
I'm happy to say for an old-timer Fred is still alive and kicking and posting here fairly regularly under anonymous.
He does so because he was chastised by one of our locals for speaking out as an 'outsider' and made to feel unwanted and that his voice didn't count, although having the experience and knowledge of facing many of the same issues in his own community that we face here.
Fred is not very computer literate and so with his daughter away since last summer he has more or less abandoned his blog for the time being.
He's a good man who with English being his second language still tries hard to communicate his feelings and ideas, which are always welcomed here on this blog.

10.12 Thank you. You sound like a very caring person. I respect the fact you came back and looked for me. I will use my name again but you will have to defend me locally. HA HA take care! Fred
Hi Fred, I am an outsider as well ;) John allows me to rant every once in awhile as I am an Albertan by birth. I post from the Toronto area. Good to see you posting. Top o' the day, John, looking forward to reading your take on the 'sale' of the CLC. Take care.
